If you’ve been behind the wheel of a Ford truck from the last decade or so, you won’t find a lot of surprises on the inside of these trucks. The interior is very familiar with a spacious, practical, no-nonsense design. All controls and storage compartments are easy to reach and use for the driver, and you won’t hear any complaints about a lack of space from your passengers.

There’s an extremely wide range of interior accommodations in these trucks. You can get either a no-nonsense work truck with vinyl seats and crank windows in the base trim or a very well-appointed luxury vehicle in the range-topping Limited trim with plush leather seating, the latest technology and high-end materials throughout the cabin. With plenty of trims and option packages in-between, there’s a Super Duty for every budget.

Mechanicals

These trucks both have three engine options available, one of which is a 7.3-liter gas-powered V8 that is brand new for 2020. As we mentioned before, one of the biggest differences between these trucks is that the F-350 is available as a dually and the F-250 is not. Rear-wheel drive is standard and 4-wheel drive is optional for both trucks. Unfortunately, fuel economy ratings for these trucks are not available from the Environmental Protection Agency.

Technology

These two trucks offer the same set of features. While the base XL trim feels pretty sparse on the inside, it has some impressive standard features, including a Wi-Fi hot spot and automatic high-beams — plus some of the basics, such as air conditioning and steering wheel audio controls. If you opt for the XLT trim or higher, you’ll get a nice suite of driver assistance features that includes blind-spot monitoring, automatic forward emergency braking and lane-departure warning.

There’s some new trailering tech available, including the Ford Pro Trailer Backup Assist and the Trailer Reverse Guidance systems. These do exactly what their names imply — they make it much easier to back up a trailer than using your mirrors and looking behind you. Using additional cameras, you can see everything that’s going on around your trailer from the convenience of your infotainment screen. However, one small annoyance with these systems is that they don’t allow you to check on your trailer while you’re driving forward like Ford’s GM competitors do.

Pricing

The base prices of these trucks are pretty similar, but the F-350 gets quite a bit more expensive on the high-end, mainly because of its available dually configuration. The F-250 has a starting MSRP of $34,035, and the F-350 starts at $35,550. The most expensive version of the F-250 is the Limited 4WD model with the 8-ft box, which starts at $84,130. The priciest F-350 is the dually Limited 4WD model, which starts at $87,110. Both trucks have a wide variety of trims and option packages available between the top and the bottom of their model ranges, ensuring that you can find the perfect truck for your wants, your needs and your budget.
