We're back! We've been on vacation in Catalonia, so we have a lot of emails and comments to respond, please, be patient!Today I wanna share with you this non alcoholicsangria recipe with no added sugar, it's a healthier alternative and I love it so much, I like it even more than the original version!
Sangria is atypical Spanish beverageand it'susually made withred wine, chopped fruit and some sweetener. Some people also add liquor or spices like cinnamon. Our recipeis so simple, but it has a great flavor.
I used white grape juiceinstead of red wine, it has an intense grape flavor and is much healthier because it has no alcohol. I blended the juicewith ¼ cup of blueberries (40 grams) to get this beautiful red color. You can also use otherfruits such as other kinds of berriesorred grape juice.
It's super easy to makethis sangria recipe. You only have to place ice in a jar, add the fruit and a liquid mixture made with grape juice, orange juice, lime juiceblended withblueberries.Let stand the sangria in the fridge for about 2 hours, although if you can't wait, you can drink it once it's ready.
Traditional sangria is made with some kind of sweetener, usually white sugar, but this version is alcohol-free so it has a less strong flavor and it's not necessary to add sugar. If it's not enough sweet for you, you can add any sweetener, but I recommend you not to use white sugar, there are a lot of healthier alternatives.
The most used fruits to make sangria areoranges, lemons, apples, pears, bananas and peaches, but you can use your favorite fruits. I've used oranges, limes (instead of lemons), bananas, peaches and blueberries. Blueberries is not a common ingredient to make sangria, but I lovethem and they are full of antioxidants.
This non alcohol sangria is the perfect drink for this summer and it's kid friendly. It's much healthier than traditional sangria and I promise you, you're gonna love this refreshing drink. Cheers!

The drink looks absolutely amazing. I just had a question. Doesn't the orange juice become a little sour if not consumed within an hour?

Iosune says

How would this recipe hold up if made overnight? Maybe mix liquids the night before and add the fruit in the morning?

Hi Sylwia! Some people make sangria overnight, so you can make it if you want. It will have a stronger flavor, but it's so delicious! 🙂
