Great dip recipe for parties, cookouts, movie night, and football season. A real crowd pleaser. You might want to double the recipe. I never have any leftovers when I take this to our get-togethers! Can make in the oven or slow cooker. Use sugar-free BBQ sauce for a low-carb and keto-friendly dip.

This BBQ Chicken Dip has quickly become one of our favorite dips. I took this easy dip to our tailgate last week and it was the hit of the party. I should have made a double batch because it was gone in a flash! BBQ sauce, chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing. I mean, what’s not to like?!?! I could make a meal of this cheesy chicken dip. It is SO good! One bite and you will be blown away!

How to Make BBQ Chicken Dip

This warm dip is very simple to make with only a few simple ingredients. In a medium bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, creamy ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, and sharp cheddar cheese. Spread the chicken mixture into a baking dish or small casserole dish. Top the dip with more shredded cheese and chopped green onions. Pop the dip in the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and the dip is bubbly.

  • I use leftover rotisserie chicken for the cooked chopped chicken in this dip. You can use any leftover chicken in this recipe. Chicken breasts, chicken thighs, and chicken tenderloins all work great.
  • Myfavorite barbecue sauceis Sweet Baby Rays, Stubbs, G.Hughes, and Williamson Brothers. I buy them all at Walmart.
    • For a low-carb dip, use a sugar-free BBQ sauce such as G Hughe’s Smokehouse.

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.

  • In a mixing bowl combine cooked chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.

  • Pour mixture into a lightly greased 8×8 baking dish. Top the dip with chopped green onion and remaining cheese.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.
