Is it possible to make an extraordinary dish with just 3 basic ingredients? Absolutely. I present to you a 3 Ingredient Savory Tomato & Egg Tart. This dish has the most incredible flavors, it´s above & beyond easy to make and only takes 5 minutes of prep work.
I like to serve this tart for dinner, as it goes so well with a glass of wine. But you can also serve it for breakfast or brunch. Either way you go, the flavors will knock it out of the ball park.
The 3 ingredients I used here where: Eggs, Canned Tomatoes & Premade Pizza Dough. If you prefer, you can use fresh tomatoes (see note below for how many tomatoes to use). I also added in some basic spices & herbs to really help lift the flavors of this tart.
TIPS & TRICKS to make this Recipe: My premade pizza dough was already rolled out. If you have to roll yours, make sure the thickness is about 1/8 of an inch. I used an 8-inch round baking pan, but you can also use a square or rectangle pan. If you opt for fresh tomatoes, use about 2 pounds, which equals about two 15 ounce cans.
Key Ingredients & Cookware I used in this Recipe:
8-INCH ROUND BAKING PAN
SPANISH SEA SALT

Season with 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp dried thyme, 1/2 tsp dried parsley, a generous 1/2 tsp sea sat and 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper, mix everything together until well combined
Grease an 8-inch round back pan with 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil and brush all over the baking pan
Roll out a premade pizza dough, to a thickness of about 1/8 of an inch, dust your hands off with some all-purpose flour and gently mold the pizza dough into the baking pan
Using a fork lightly pierce the dough all over, pour in the egg & tomato mixture, making sure it is all in a single layer
